My name is Helen Bowler and I have been a counsellor for 18 years. I have worked in Private Practice and as a high school counsellor. I recently made the move to North Canterbury and I am loving the change of lifestyle.

In my work my focus has always been to work in an holistic way. My belief is that we are mind, body and spirit. I therefore endeavor to look at all aspects of my client’s lifestyle to enable wellness.

I have over the years enjoyed being involved in assisting adults, youth, children and their families. Parenting skills is something I am passionate about. I enjoy an eclectic style of counselling.

Alongside my modalities I incorporate education and skills that everyone can learn to assist their everyday living. My special field of interest is anxiety, depression and trauma. Alongside my private practice I have had the pleasure of working with clients using Equine Assisted Therapy. This is a field whereby I utilize my own horses into a programme with the client and a horse. This work can be discussed with my clients and at any stage we can utilize this type of therapy.

I look forward to our work together

Warmest Regards,
Helen.
